About this Training

Facilitated by Dr. Hilda Ontiveros

This in person training opportunity will offer a crash course on the LGBTQ+ community and actions you can take to have a positive impact as an ally! This training will include resources for participants to enhance their understanding of important terms , using pronouns, advocating, and supporting folks during the coming out process.

Participants will:

1) Discuss relevant terminology to understand the difference between

sex, sexual orientation, and gender,

gender identity, and gender expression

2) Examine the relationship between

stereotypes, norms, and bias

3) Identify actions and resources to become a better LGBTQ+ ally

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Anyone who is interested in reviewing or learning more about the LGBTQ+ community and being an ally. Parents, family, providers, business owners, anyone and everyone is welcome!
